Bachelor of Applied Management (Accounting)

This accounting major gives you the knowledge and practical skills you need to start your accounting career.

Led by a team of experts, you'll master calculation skills and techniques used in professional accounting practice. You'll also learn how to use specialised accounting software like Xero. Practical assignments will help you take the theory you learn into the real world.

Through our excellent relationships with employers, you'll be able to apply for internships or work experience. You’ll also hear from guest speakers including practicing local accountants and other specialists.

This highly professional qualification is an accredited pathway towards applying for Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of:

• Bachelor of Applied Management (Accounting)

Domestic students under 20 and all international students must:

• Meet the University Entrance criteria as specified by NZQA or have education achievement at least equivalent to NZQA University Entrance. Where an applicant did not attend schooling in New Zealand, the relevant equivalent to University Entrance will be considered on a case-by-case basis; AND

• Meet all programme entry requirements; OR

• Provide evidence of ability to complete academic and other requirements (special admission requirements).
