This route of entry is designed for those who already hold an undergraduate degree. For the MSc version of this course, you will complete a dissertation on a topic of your choosing. Our aim is to help you develop into a compassionate and knowledgeable registered adult nurse, ready to take on the exciting challenge of working in any modern healthcare environment. You will be based in Kirkcaldy, the second largest town in Fife, 30 miles from Dundee. Our Kirkcaldy Campus has a community feel and its own clinical skills center. We have strong links with NHS Fife, where most of your placements will be. Nurses work as part of a team alongside doctors, therapists, pharmacists, and healthcare assistants. You will spend 50% of your time learning on campus and the other 50% on placements in hospitals and community settings.
An Ordinary or 3rd class Honours degree or above, plus English and mathematics at Nat 5/Int2 Grade C or Standard Grade at grade 3, or GCSE at Grade C / 4 or equivalent Applicants may be able to claim up to 50% of the program through prior learning.
