Through established industry links, well-equipped design studios, and access to facilities for animation, book production, digital publishing, photography, printmaking, and video, this illustration course will allow you to develop your own illustrative style and be prepared for a number of different roles in the industry. Across this degree program, youll refine your craft. Not only will you harness and develop new skills, but youll also learn how to articulate your ideas in your work, in a collaborative setting, and to prospective employers. With a strong focus on visual narrative and documentary, youll learn through studio-based projects, workshops, regular tutorials as well as group reviews. Unlike other illustration courses in London, LCCA is committed to providing programs that give students not just theoretical knowledge but practical experience. As such, youll be involved with shows and live projects as well as external competitions, all of which will add value to your portfolio of work. Additionally, youll experience a program of workshops, pop-up exhibitions, visiting speakers, and external visits.
The standard entry requirements* for this three-year course are one of the following: 112 new UCAS tariff points Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4) Merit, Pass, Pass at BTEC Extended Diploma Merit at UAL Extended Diploma 112 new UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in an appropriate subject 27-30 points from the International Baccalaureate And four GCSE passes at grade A*-C and/or grade 4-9 including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2).
