Choosing our combined honours in Biology and Computer Science will allow you to develop skills and experience in two engaging and exciting subjects.
Most of society's global challenges are connected to biology - from assessing the effect of medication on the human body to exploring methods to prevent species extinction. Today's modern society is based on the work of geologists - in the hunt for natural resources for energy and materials for contemporary living. Studying Biology covers a range of fundamentals, as well as topics including physiology and anatomy, ecology and plant biology, and animal behaviour and microbes, viruses and parasites.
Our teaching in computer science is informed by research and our course content is are kept up-to-date thanks to close interaction with our Industry Advisory Board. You will learn the key themes that underpin contemporary computer science, from programming best practices to software engineering. You will also have the opportunity to personalise your degree by choosing from a variety of optional modules such as cybercrime, computer animation and games computing.
