The MA Social Work program at De Montfort University is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the complex social issues that affect individuals, families, and communities. The MA Social Work program at De Montfort University is accredited by the British Association of Social Workers (BASSW) and the Social Work England (SWE). This means that students who complete the program will be eligible to become registered social workers in the UK. Applicant with a 2:1 degree in any subject plus 3 months relevant work experience either full time/part time, paid or voluntary, in the field of social care, health or education (approx. 400 hours).
Applicant with a 2:2 degree in any subject and a postgraduate qualification in any subject plus 3 months relevant work experience either full time/part time, paid or voluntary, in the field of social care, health or education (approx. 400 hours).
Applicant with a 2:2 degree in any subject plus 6 months relevant work experience either full time/part time, paid or voluntary, in the field of social care, health or education. (approx. 800 hours)
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
