Course Overview

You will receive training in the skills required to read and interpret the literature and translate that into evidence-based practice. We aim to develop your research and writing skills so that you will be in a position to contribute to the scientific literature effectively, culminating in the production of an article in the style of a published journal article focusing on an orthopedic topic of your choice. This MSc in Orthopaedics is unique because it focuses on enhancing your specialist knowledge of specific orthopedic conditions with a flexible approach that considers your background and future career. You will be welcomed as an individual to our Medical School. You will be taught by both specialist academic and clinical staff and world-class visiting lecturers who are active in orthopedic research. All of our assessments are coursework-based and the majority of assessment topics are student-led, which means you can focus on increasing your specialist knowledge of topics that are relevant to you. We will teach you how to interrogate the evidence that supports the use of the current diagnostic methods and treatment strategies of various orthopedic conditions to allow you to understand and evaluate the most advanced strategies available worldwide.
