Course Overview

If your aim is to follow a career looking after animals, this course provides the ideal route to a degree or direct entry to jobs in animal care.

With its unique mix of practical, scientific, technical and business studies, it gives you a thorough grounding in the principles of animal management.

You study via a mix of class-based sessions, visits and field trips, and will be given help to arrange work placements to put your learning into practice. Visiting experts keep you up to date with developments in best practice.

General Eligibility

We will consider you as an individual and take into account all elements of your application, not just your qualifications. We are looking for breadth and depth in your current studies and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study.

A Foundation Degree will be of particular interest if you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship, vocational A levels, BTEC National or equivalent.

Foundation Degrees are also particularly suitable if you want to qualify while working.

As a guideline, a typical offer would require you to obtain a UCAS tariff score of between 32-48 points, based on your level 3 studies.
