You will write individualized education programs (IEPs), create behavior plans, and learn to collaborate with parents and other professionals. You will also receive general education training so that you will confidently be able to teach literacy and math skills to students in all sorts of settings. Hands-on experience will be readily available on-campus and off. You’ll work with Lipscomb’s IDEAL program and will continue on to student teach at a local school.
Your degree will comply with Tennessee’s newest special education license requirements allowing you to teach in a variety of settings, both in the classroom and outside of it.
