Course Overview

As part of this course, you’ll:

Understand health and safety as an integral part of any organization

Learn how to establish and maintain a safe working environment for everyone

Develop your knowledge of how different organizations use varying levels of safety procedures and understand how to assess their impact on a company

Investigate organizations in their entirety and gain a broad knowledge of other departments such as marketing, sales, and human resources

Explore how departments across a business are affected by health and safety procedures and processes

Enhance your understanding of the technical and human aspects of health and safety and the causes of problems, whether machine malfunctions or human misjudgments

Alternative study routes

You could study this course or PG Dip Health & Safety to achieve an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) accredited award. If you have already successfully completed an IOSH-accredited postgraduate diploma, you could convert your qualification into a master’s degree by studying two additional research modules part-time for over one year.

General Eligibility

Applicants should either have at least a second-class honors degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. Applicants who have completed an IOSH-accredited PGDip Health & Safety will be considered for advanced entry and will only need to complete a further 60 levels of 7 credit points.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
