Course Overview

To be amongst the next generation of global business leaders, it is essential to understand the opportunities and challenges of international businesses. Building businesses in emerging, developing, or developed countries depends on how you tackle international challenges, including language barriers, global team management, cultural differences, and political risks; this degree will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge of international business practices to support you in dealing with these challenges.

It is necessary to critically analyze and evaluate international business theories in international business today by covering companies' economic, political, ethical, social, legal, and technical environments. Furthermore, global leaders should promote the role of information within a knowledge-based economy. This includes an identification of approaches to data generation, data manipulation, data assessment, analysis, and dissemination in international business research.

On the course, you will have the opportunity to develop your practical, transferable skills, including strategic planning at a global level, decision-making, accountability, business economics, data analytics, research methods, market intelligence, and operations management.

It is designed to equip you with the critical insights and knowledge you need to make a positive contribution to the world of global business and provide you with the practical knowledge and analytical skills you need to develop and lead effective strategic change.

The MSc International Business is designed for graduates and professionals planning to start or who want to develop businesses in emerging, developing, or developed countries. The course also provides preliminary training for those who wish to pursue further research for a Ph.D. in international business or entrepreneurship.

General Eligibility

  • Good UK honors degree, equivalent, a postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution, or relevant graduate-level qualification.

  • Or a demonstration of considerable relevant practical experience and evidence of the ability to cope with the demands of the course.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to prove your English ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
