Course Overview

The sound and music industry is transforming. Traditional careers are adapting to include creative industries that require skills in sound and music production. The broadcast, film, theatre, games, and immersive experience industries are growing and thriving. We see opportunities for multi-skilled, digitally fluent, dynamic, and adaptable sound and music creators, who can initiate and present innovative ideas in modern and engaging ways. The BA (Hons) Music Technology and Production is part of a suite of programs for applied practice in professional industry contexts. The key features of these programs are A focus on Ideas, Creative Enterprise, and Collaboration, Portfolio of Transferable Skills, Professional Industry Projects. You will develop and apply a range of specialist technical and creative skills in sound and music production, working collaboratively within interdisciplinary projects modeled on professional practice in the music industry.

General Eligibility

112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification listed on the

UCAS tariff calculator, including:

• A Level in at least two subjects

• BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM

• BTEC Diploma – D*D*

• Access to HE Diploma

• T Levels

• International Baccalaureate – 24 points, including a minimum of 15 points at a Higher Level

Must include a Music relevant subject or demonstrate an ongoing commitment to music making of All forms.

We also welcome applications from students taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator and will assess the suitability on a case-by-case basis.

In addition to one of the above, you should have the following:

• GCSE English Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in English

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

• Overall IELTS score of 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking (or recognized equivalent).
