BSc (Hons) Neuropsychology (Intercalated)

This intercalated BSc degree in Neuropsychology provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the neural basis of behavior and cognition. The program covers a wide range of topics, including brain function and its relationship to human behavior, cognitive processes such as attention, memory, and language, and the effects of neurological disorders on cognition and behavior. Additional Information

Students must have completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related field before starting the intercalated BSc program. Applicants should have a minimum of a 2:1 honors degree in Psychology or a related field. The program is designed to be completed in one year, with students spending approximately 10 hours per week in lectures and seminars, and the remaining time on independent study and research. Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including brain imaging technology and psychophysiology laboratories.

The course has close links with the School of Medical Sciences with students sharing facilities and having exposure to practising clinicians throughout the course. BSc (Hons) Neuropsychology is an intercalated course aimed at medical students who wish to study the biological basis of the human mind in health and disease. This one-year course reviews the theoretical and underpinnings of neuropsychology, and provides a foundation in clinical and basic neuroscience central for understanding the biological bases of neuropsychological and psychiatric conditions.
