The program can be completed as a full-time or part-time course or as one module at a time, allowing you to choose the right mode of study to balance your work and personal commitments. The course requires you to complete a total of 120 credits at Level 6, typically from four 30 credit modules. You can choose the modules you wish to study from a number of options depending on the pathway you wish to follow. However, the final module must be either the Dissertation module or the Research and Innovation in Practice module.
A typical offer will include at least 120 credits at level 5, evidence of clinical experience and candidates will need to be working in a relevant area of health care practice. In addition to this applicants must be a registered nurses on the appropriate part of the NMC register for consideration. Students choosing the modular option who intend to complete this degree program can only use a maximum of 60 credits as Accredited Prior Certificated Learning (APCL). For those students wishing to use credits from other universities, only 60 credits can be used as Accredited Prior Learning (APL). Students will choose from a portfolio of modules or short courses available.
