Course Overview

Medical students who wish to study for an intercalated master's degree in clinical education recognize that when they qualify as clinicians they will be involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. There is a need for greater professionalism and accountability as clinical teachers and this course is designed to meet this need by providing a sound theoretical and practical basis for good teaching practice. Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Education is becoming a national standard for health professionals involved in teaching and is expected of new clinical teachers in the Keele University School of Medicine.
