The world relies on computers and so do most businesses and organizations. Mathematics is the language of computer science so if you have the skills for both youll find a whole range of careers available to you in most sectors. On this single honors course, youll develop your mathematical and statistical knowledge and apply these skills to solve problems in computing, business, and other areas. Areas recently offering placements include accountancy, aviation, banking, defense, finance, insurance, IT (software development, network management, and design), management (public and private sector), marketing, and telecommunications. This program will meet the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications when it is followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competencies to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught master's degrees.

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DDM plus A-level Mathematics or Further Mathematics at Grade B.
BTEC Level 3 Diploma DM in any subject with an A-level Mathematics or Further Mathematics at grade B.
BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma D in any subject, with A-levels grades BC to include Mathematics or Further Mathematics at grade B.
International Baccalaureate Diploma 30 points, including 5 in Higher Level Mathematics.
Access to Higher Education Diploma Complete and pass the relevant Access course with 45 credits at Level 3, of which 30 credits must be at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit or higher. Applicants must also have an A-level in Mathematics or Further Mathematics grade B.
