Your transformation from a student to a finance professional begins from day one. You will develop finance skills through practical application and real business experiences. By making extensive use of up-to-date technology, you will gain the kinds of skills and analytical abilities employers seek. You will be exposed to key concepts in business finance and in areas such as leadership, marketing and people management, strategic management, and sustainable entrepreneurship. This solid foundation will support your advanced studies in specialist areas including risk management, financial reporting and analysis for management, and the role of the finance manager.
All students complete a five-week Work Based Learning placement towards the end of their second year. This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about the industry sector and network with potential future employers. We have a dedicated team within the Careers Department to advise and help you during both your application period and during your placement. Moreover, you can work and network with employers from a range of national and international companies through our visiting speaker program.
The course is flexible so you can choose a three-year program or a four-year program which includes a one-year business placement. The placement can either be study- or work-based, with the option to go abroad: there are study-abroad opportunities in the USA, Australia, and a host of European countries.
Join a Business Finance course that allows you to tackle this ever-changing sector head-on. The course is delivered by a team committed to making your career aspirations and professional objectives a reality in today’s global economy.
