Course Overview

Film and Screen Studies aims to produce graduates who have an informed, critical and creative approach to both understanding film and screen in contemporary society and to their own forms of critical, reflective and communicative practice. You’ll develop intellectual, analytical, research and creative skills that will help you to prepare for employment and have the opportunity to engage in practical filmmaking projects if you wish.

General Eligibility

  • Indian students with 65% marks at Grade XII / Pakistani students with 70% marks at Grade XII

  • A Level – Grades BCC

  • Accredited Prior Learning equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2.

  • Other equivalent qualifications from EduQual/BTEC with Merit.

  • Copy of latest school credentials

  • Passport copy

  • Emirates ID (if any)

  • Visa Page Copy

  • Passport Size ID photo

Successful completion of one of the following:

  • A recognized post-secondary course.

  • University preparation (foundation) studies.

  • One year of study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • A mandatory English Language Test by Bath Spa University UK conducted in the Bath Spa University Academic Center RAK Campus; or IELTS (Academic) test results with an overall score of 6.0, a minimum score of 5.5 for each skill/band.
