Course Overview

The course offers an excellent opportunity to explore the social history of warfare within a European and a global context. This broad historical narrative will provide you with the opportunity to study specific themes in depth, understand the form and nature of warfare through the ages, and contribute to the academic debate surrounding the relationship between conflict and society.

This program prepares students for advanced postgraduate historical research; it also provides students with the skills necessary for careers in the education, archival management, and heritage sectors.

We provide access to part-time jobs, and extra-curricular employability-enhancing workshops and offer practical one-to-one help with career planning, including help with CVs, applications, and mock interviews. We also deliver group sessions on career planning within each course and we have a wide range of extensive information covering graduate jobs and postgraduate study.

Students and graduates of the University of Chester can use our services free of charge for up to two years after graduating.

General Eligibility

A 2:2 honors degree in history or any relevant discipline or equivalent qualification is required.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
